H21 Enrique Villagrasa's telephone conversation with DA-3 (summary)

SUMMARY OF THE CONVERSATION HELD WITH DA-3 SON OF EYEA-502
DURING THE NIGHT OF 28 TO 29 NOVEMBER 1966.

1.- PREHISTORY OF UMMO

Man appeared on UMMO 44,000,000 UMMO-years ago (9,378,000 Earth years). The origin there is polygenic; ours is monogenic. They recorded their histories by means of pieces of twigs strung together like a rosary. Later they wrote on very thin copper sheets with wooden styluses, resting the sheets on a soft bed of dead leaves. The way of writing recalled the alphabet of the blind. They wrote ideographically, in a very stylised manner, using geometric figures. A man was represented by a [blank space in the original; according to the ummo-sciences version, an inverted «V»] with a small circle on top ( [blank space in the original] ). The Ummites were greatly struck by the cave paintings of Altamira.

2.- CERVICAL SPONDYLARTHROSIS

I asked DA-3 to tell me about cervical spondylarthrosis and he gave me a dissertation on nucleic acid that I only half understood. He also explained that the beings of UMMO do not have congenital deformities as we Earthlings do.

3.- SPACE TRAVEL

I asked him how long it took them to get from UMMO to the Earth and he answered that although the distance travelled by light is 14 years, they can make the journey in seven months under very good conditions. When I remarked that this was a very long time, he told me they had made journeys lasting up to six years. I then asked whether they did not feel claustrophobia and he replied that living conditions inside the spacecraft are optimal: they have their own atmosphere, they have telepathy, they have a brain structure different from ours and they do not know those kinds of neurosis; they have no psychic disorders. They only tend to think of their relatives so far away. DA-3 is a being of 27 Earth-years, married and with a four-year-old son.

4.- LIFE ON EARTH

I asked whether life and civilisation on Earth were known on UMMO and he said yes, because of the reports sent by the Ummites living on our planet, some of which they found very hard to believe, and if they accepted them it was because of the great moral reliability of those who were here. I asked what had most caught their attention on UMMO regarding the Earth and he replied that, without any doubt, it was the astonishing resemblance between UMMOWOA and Jesus Christ. I asked when UMMOWOA had lived and he told me it was towards the middle of the first epoch, that is, 4,700 Earth years ago. Ever since culture became tangible, the Ummites have divided time into epochs. They are now living in the third epoch. Each one lasts 10,000 UMMO-years (2,117.82 Earth years). One Earth year equals 4.7218 UMMO-years.

5.- FIRST DAYS ON EARTH

I then asked how they had managed, on reaching the Earth, to learn an Earth language, and he told me they made friends with a little French boy, passing themselves off to him as foreigners. They had him read pieces of newspapers to record his pronunciation. Then they bought a book with pictures of objects and their written names and had the boy read it. He said that it had perhaps cost them more effort to grasp the various nuances of two very similar languages such as Spanish and French, without mixing them up when speaking, than to learn an Earth language directly. I asked how they had managed at first without money and he answered that they had had to steal it, and they returned it as soon as they could. Later they received old French franc notes forged on UMMO. They now obtain money by lawful means. He promised to send me later a historical report on their first steps on Earth.

6.- ENCODING OF INFORMATION

I asked how they went about obtaining information on the various aspects of our culture and sending it to UMMO. He told me they recorded it in a pure titanium crystal. He gave me the example that to record El Greco's "Burial of the Count of Orgaz" they had to break the painting down into small dots of one square micron. In each titanium atom they encode three numbers: the first represents the ordinate, the second the abscissa and the third the colour intensity according to a code; it is then reproduced exactly. To record on the titanium they use, as far as I understood, for his explanation was very complex, three radiations arranged as a trihedron which converged on an inner point, the atom that was to receive the information. I believe I understood that the titanium had to be at a temperature close to absolute zero to prevent continuous vibration of the atoms. In the large computers on UMMO they have titanium crystals of up to two cubic metres in volume, whereas those they use here are usually one cubic millimetre. I asked how many atoms could be encoded in such a tiny piece. He answered that a cubic micron holds approximately a million atoms, and as a cubic millimetre has a thousand million cubic microns, that means there are a thousand billion (10¹⁵) atoms, more than enough to encode whatever one wishes.

7.- EARTH PROTEINS

One of the things that most worried them on reaching the Earth was whether the proteins we eat were laevorotatory or dextrorotatory, since both they and we have a laevorotatory structure in our organisms, and eating dextrorotatory substances would cause fatal poisoning. At first they had to live on their synthetic foods, but now they eat Earth food, which took them a good deal of effort to get used to, above all because they do not use oil but milk-based sauces.

8.- VARIOUS TOPICS

He then spoke about various topics related to politics, economics and sociology. His opinions were extremely interesting, but for obvious reasons I cannot reproduce them.

I had the impression that he had advanced knowledge of medicine, physics, chemistry, mathematics and any other subject he was asked to talk about, some of which were so complex that I could not follow him well.

9.- LIFE ON OTHER PLANETS

To another question of mine, whether there was life on other planets of our solar system, he told me not in the form found on Earth. At most a primitive life. I asked whether vegetable or animal and he told me that in those kinds of life it is very difficult to tell which class they belong to. He gave me the example of "filterable viruses", which according to him could be called "vitrified viruses". When conditions are adverse they crystallise, that is, they turn into mineral, and when conditions are favourable they develop. He told me that the canals of Mars were optical errors due to aberration of light and that there were only some kinds of lichens there.

He told me they had given information to an eminent German scientist on a subject in his speciality, and he found it so interesting that he published it in a journal, saying that it had been given to him by a "prankster".

10.- OTHER TOPICS

He expressed his regret at the development of nuclear technology for warlike purposes on Earth and told me it would be even worse when, in ten or twelve years, a greater knowledge of plasma is reached and plasma weapons can be made, which could be the end of humanity, as happened on another planet they visited whose surface was left totally vitrified.

A sound-recording device with no moving parts, given to a gentleman in Madrid whose name he told me but which I do not remember, was scorned and broken by that person, who thought it a joke.

This is a very concise summary of the conversation held with DA-3 son of EYEA-502, which lasted from 0:10 to 2:15 in the early morning of 29 November 1966. The conversation, which was interrupted on a few occasions only to be resumed immediately, was heard almost in its entirety by my wife.
